Avocolada Smoothie Copycat

Make Tropical Smoothie Cafe's Avocolada smoothie at home with this simple recipe! It's a refreshing combination of greens, pineapple, coconut, and lime. It's easy to make and customize!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 avocado pitted
  • ½ cup baby spinach, loosely packed
  • ½ cup baby kale, loosely packed
  • 2 tablespoons coconut cream Note 1
  • 1 ½ cups frozen pineapple
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • ½ cup coconut water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ lime juiced
  • 1-2 tablespoons sweetener of choice (optional) turbinado, maple syrup, or honey, Note 2

Instructions
 

  • In the pitcher of a high-speed blender, combine the avocado, baby spinach, baby kale, coconut cream, frozen pineapple, ice, coconut water, water, and sweetener of choice. Place the soft ingredients on the bottom, closest to the blades.
  • Start the blender on low speed, then gradually increase the speed to high. Blend until smooth.
  • If the smoothie's too thick, add a splash more coconut water and blend to incorporate.
  • Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately!

Notes

Note 1: You can find the coconut cream in the international foods aisle with the coconut milk. 
Note 2: Tropical Smoothie Café sweetens their smoothies with turbinado. You can find turbinado in the baking aisle near the white and brown sugar. For a healthier option, use a natural sweetener like maple syrup or leave it out.
