Equipment

  • blender

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, peeled
  • ½ cup baby spinach, loosely packed
  • 1 tablespoon hemp hearts (optional), Note 1
  • cups frozen blueberries
  • ¼ cup passion fruit juice or juice of choice, Note 2
  • ¼ cup cold water

Instructions

  • In the pitcher of a high-speed blender, combine the banana, spinach, hemp hearts, frozen blueberries, passion fruit juice, and water - in that order.
  • Start the blender on low speed, then increase the speed to high. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides with a spatula to incorporate any bits of spinach. Blend one more time.
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately!

Notes

Note 1: If you don't have hemp hearts, you can leave them out. Or swap with two teaspoons of chia seeds. Chia seeds add more texture!
Note 2: Find passion fruit juice in the non refrigerated juice aisle. I used Cere's passion fruit juice blend. If you don't have it, apple or orange juice works fine too.
