Why you’ll love it:

Nothing brightens my day like a peach pineapple smoothie! It’s ultra-creamy from the milk and banana, but refreshingly sweet from the pineapple.

It strikes the perfect balance of rich and creamy, yet light and healthy. I like to top it with a dollop of whipped cream and fresh pineapple chunks.

This peach pineapple smoothie is refined-sugar-free and low in calories too. One serving features only 189 calories! And it’s super easy to customize. You can make it dairy-free or swap the milk with juice.

Key Ingredients:

banana, peaches, pineapple, milk.

Banana – For best results, use a ripe, yellow banana! When a banana ripens, its starch converts to sugar, making it very sweet and creamy. These qualities make it a great base for fruit smoothies.

Frozen peaches – Since peach season is short-lived, I went with frozen peaches for this smoothie! They thicken and sweeten it with sweet peach flavor, plus you don’t have to peel or pit them. If you have peak-season peaches you want to use, you can peel, slice, and freeze them first.

Frozen pineapple – Pineapple is full of vitamin C, antioxidants, and enzymes that help with digestion! I buy a big bag at Costco and throw it in all kinds of smoothies! Fresh fruit is great, but frozen is much easier to use. There’s no peeling, pitting, or slicing involved. It’s ready to go, right from the freezer!

Milk – I used whole milk, but you can use any type – regular or plant-based. My favorite plant-based milk is unsweetened almond milk. Whole milk creates a super creamy smoothie!

Juice – Pineapple or orange juice both work great!

How to Make a Peach Pineapple Smoothie:

Combine ingredients: In the pitcher of your blender, combine the banana, frozen pineapple, frozen peaches, milk, and juice.

Blend: Blend until very creamy and smooth. Taste the smoothie and adjust the taste and consistency as desired. If you want the smoothie thinner, add a splash more liquid and blend to incorporate. If you want it sweeter, add a teaspoon or two of honey.

Recipe Tips:

  • Use frozen fruit! Frozen peaches/pineapple thicken the smoothie without the need for ice. Ice won’t give you as smooth a texture. This is why 99 percent of the time, I use frozen fruit instead.
  • If possible, use a high-speed blender. High-speed blenders have powerful motors and sharp blades that create a super smooth texture. The Vitamix is one of the best, but it has a steep price point. You can buy an older model or opt for a less expensive brand like the Ninja.
  • Adjust the consistency to your preference. I prefer my smoothies on the thicker side. Check the thickness and then adjust it to fit your preference. For a thinner smoothie, add a splash more liquid. For a thicker one, add a few more pieces of frozen fruit.

Variations & Add-ins:

This recipe tastes more like a pineapple milkshake! Here’s a few delicious variations to try:

  • Dairy-free – Swap the milk with a plant-based alternative. My favorite is unsweetened almond milk, but cashew, soy, or oat milk works great too. Just make sure you like the flavor of whichever one you choose. They all taste slightly different.
  • Juice – For a fruitier smoothie that’s less creamy, swap the milk with pineapple or orange juice.
  • Canned fruit – If you want to use canned pineapple or canned peaches, then swap the banana with a frozen one. Frozen bananas are a great way to thicken smoothies with fresh or canned fruit.
  • Honey (or sweeteners) – I don’t like my smoothies too sweet, but everyone’s tastebuds are different. If you prefer it sweeter, add a couple teaspoons of honey to sweeten it up!

Storage Tips:

I’m not a fan of storing smoothies! I prefer them fresh and frosty. Technically, you can store a smoothie in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Stir it before enjoying.

I prefer to freeze any leftover smoothie into smoothie pops. Just pour the smoothie into a popsicle mold, add popsicle sticks, and freeze overnight.

Enjoy them on a hot summer day. They taste best when they get a little melty!

FAQs:

What blender should I use?

You can use a regular blender for this smoothie, but a high-speed blender always works best! I love my Vitamix because it gives my smoothies a super smooth texture no matter what I add to it, even greens!

Can I make this pineapple smoothie dairy-free?

Yes! You can swap regular milk with a dairy-free alternative. Or, for a fruitier smoothie, swap the milk with pineapple or orange juice.
